Hi all.
I have encountered bug which describes problem using terms as "jank" or
"jankiness"
https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=456373

I do not completely sure that I understand what it means when applied to
code execution or functions.
Tried to google it, but not sure still.

Can somebody explain its meaning?

WBR Alecander Yashkin.

Anything that glitches scrolling or animation smoothness is usually
referred to as jank.

It refers to a user visible delay. E.g. when a task takes 100ms or more on
the main thread.

JPH is janks per hour. I think this might have been from the old jank
profiler infrastructure that attempted to detect how many times per hour -
on average across users - a given task would cause a delay of over 117ms (I
think that was the threshold used by that infra).
